IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XXX
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO
THE AGREEMENT WITH MEYERS NAVE FOR PROVISION OF LEGAL SERVICES, TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT BY $186,122 FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,200,422 IN FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro contracts with Meyers Nave for the provision of legal services; and WHEREAS, on December 19, 2022 the City Council approved Resolution No. 2022-220 to amend the existing agreement for legal services between the City of San Leandro and Meyers Nave for an amount not to exceed $1,014,300 in Fiscal Year 2023-2024; and
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed to pay for incurred and anticipated legal services in March, April, May, and June of 2024; and
WHEREAS, the amendment will be funded from existing salary savings resulting in no impact to undesignated fund balances; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said amendment, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That the City Manager is authorized to execute an amendment to the agreement with Meyers Nave for provision of legal services, to increase the amount by $186,122 for a total amount not to exceed $1,200,422 in Fiscal Year 2023-2024.
