IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XXX
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS TO PURCHASE THREE FORD 2024 MODEL YEAR EV TRANSIT VANS FROM THE FORD STORE FOR $77,854.87 PER VEHICLE FOR A TOTAL OF $233,564; TO PURCHASE ONE CASE MODEL 721G2 PLUS WHEEL LOADER TRUCK FROM SONSRAY MACHINERY FOR $281,484; ALL FOUR OF WHICH WILL BE PURCHASED THROUGH SOURCEWELL, A COOPERATIVE CONTRACT PURCHASING AGENCY; AND APPROVE AN ADDITIONAL $50,000 TO ACCOUNT FOR ANY MINOR CHANGE TO PURCHASE PRICE
DUE TO MARKET VOLATILITY
WHEREAS, quotes for vehicle and equipment purchases from the Ford Store and Sonsray have been presented to this City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends the purchase of said vehicles and equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That purchase of vehicles listed on the quote from the Ford Store substantially for the price listed is approved and purchase of the vehicles by the City Manager is authorized; and That purchase of equipment listed on the quote from Sonsray substantially for the price listed is approved and purchase of the equipment by the City Manager is authorized; and That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to execute all documents to effect the intent and purpose of this resolution; and
That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to spend an additional $50,000 in case prices change due to market volatility.
