RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XXX
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ESTABLISH CONCEALED CARRY WEAPON LICENSE FEES AND AMEND TITLE 6, CHAPTER 4 OF THE SAN LEANDRO
ADMINISTRATIVE CODE
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the importance of regulating the issuance of concealed carry weapon licenses to ensure public safety and compliance with state and federal laws; and WHEREAS, the Master Fee Schedule compiles City Council-approved fees for specific City services provided to residents and businesses; and
WHEREAS, agencies are allowed to set fees at rates providing fair and reasonable recovery of costs incurred in providing the services, minimizing, or eliminating use of general tax revenues; and WHEREAS, Concealed Carry Weapon License fees are presented to the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends establishing Concealed Carry Weapon License fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
1. That Concealed Carry Weapon License fees are approved as provided below:
Initial License
Standard (2 years) $424
Judicial (3 years) $453
Reserve (4 years) $470
Employment (90 days) $369
Renewal
Standard (2 years) $383
Judicial (3 years) $405
Reserve (4 years) $416
Employment (90 days) $402
Duplicate License $15
Modification $35
2. That Title 6, Chapter 4, §6.4.100 of the San Leandro Administrative Code is hereby amended adding said fees; and;
3. That the amendment shall go into effect July 16, 2024.
