IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2024-
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE MASTER SALARY SCHEDULES BETWEEN JANUARY 1, 2021 TO THE PRESENT
WHEREAS, on June 3, 2024 the City Council approved and adopted a master salary schedule containing all job classifications and corresponding pay rates to ensure compliance with California Code of Regulations (CCR) Section 570.5 and the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) regulations for publicly available pay schedules; and WHEREAS, from January 1, 2021 through June 3, 2024, the City Council approved salary schedules within adopted budgets containing the job classifications and corresponding pay rates for each approved bargaining group memoranda of understanding, compensation plan, and employment agreement, including any and all City Council approved amendments; and WHEREAS, these salary schedules reflected the pay rates negotiated with and agreed to by the City with the exclusive bargaining representatives of its represented bargaining units and, in the case of the City Manager, pay increases intended to be and which were consistent with pay increases provided to the San Leandro Management Organization during this same time period; and WHEREAS, the CalPERS Audit Compliance & Resolution section directed the City to combine the separate salary schedules the City Council publicly adopted from January 1, 2021 through June 3, 2024 in each case into a single master salary schedule including all job classifications to ensure its salary schedules are in compliance; and
WHEREAS, the adoption of these master salary schedules between January 1, 2021 and June 3, 2024 will bring the City’s salary schedule into compliance with CCR 570.5 and CalPERS requirements.
WHEREAS, previously approved and enacted salary schedules include those identified in the associated staff report.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That the City of San Leandro hereby approves the master salary schedules BETWEEN January 1, 2021 to June 3, 2024 as described above
