IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2024-
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO ACCEPT THE DONATION OF $36,000
FROM THE FRIENDS OF THE SAN LEANDRO PUBLIC LIBRARY TO ENHANCE THE PROGRAMS AND
SERVICES AT THE LIBRARY INCLUDING THE SUMMER LIBRARY PROGRAM AND PROGRAMS AT THE
MANOR BRANCH, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ALLOCATE ALL FUNDS AND EXECUTE
ALL DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THE DONATION
WHEREAS, in 1984, Friends of the San Leandro Public Library (Friends) was established to support the San Leandro Public Library; and
WHEREAS, Friends is a non-profit organization comprised of community volunteers who generate funds to support the San Leandro Public Library; and
WHEREAS, since 1984 Friends has provided donations annually to support and enhance a wide variety of operational aspects of the San Leandro Public Library; and
WHEREAS, Friends’ donation of $36,000 will support Library programs and services including the Summer Library Program and programming at the Manor Branch.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
1. That the City Council humbly and gratefully accepts the Friends of the San Leandro Public Library donation of $36,000 for enhancing Library programs and services including Summer Library Program and programming at Manor Branch Library, and the City Manager is authorized to execute all documents related the donation.
2. That an appropriation of the donation of $36,000 in revenue account #010-3803 and expenditure account #010-68-005 is approved.
