IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE GRANT FUNDING AGREEMENT NO. PS25016 WITH THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY (OTS) TO GRANT $83,000 FOR THE PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE SAFETY PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro has been awarded an $83,000 California Office of Traffic Safety grant for the City’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program; and WHEREAS, the City must be authorized to accept and appropriate $83,000 in OTS Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program grant funds; and
WHEREAS, a Grant Funding Agreement must be completed to allow the California Office of Traffic Safety to disburse the grant funds; and
WHEREAS, a Grant Funding Agreement between the City of San Leandro and California Office of Traffic Safety, a copy of which is attached, was presented to this City Council; and WHEREAS, the City is familiar with the contents thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommended the approval of said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That the City Council accepts and appropriate $83,000 in OTS Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program grant funds; and
That said grant agreement is approved and the City Manager or her authorized designee is authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City; and That the City Manager is authorized to execute all documents and take and all actions necessary to effect the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
