IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XXX
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH STRATEGIC EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES (EMS) CONSULTING FOR THE OPERATION OF WINTER SHELTER SERVICES FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $180,000 WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro has identified the need to provide winter shelter services to support the well-being and safety of unhoused community members during the cold winter season; and WHEREAS, Strategic Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Consulting has over 40 years of experience in emergency response and homeless service delivery, including successfully operating safe parking programs and other essential support services in Alameda County; and WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $180,000 have been allocated in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 General Fund budget to support the operation of the Winter Warming Shelter; WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows:
That said agreement for the total not to exceed amount of compensation of $180,000 is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized.
