IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XXX
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A POWER PURCHASE
AGREEMENT WITH AVA COMMUNITY ENERGY FOR SOLAR POWER GENERATED ON CITY FACILITIES WHEREAS, San Leandro is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions; and WHEREAS, Photovoltaic systems generate electricity without producing greenhouse gases; and WHEREAS, Ava community energy is the Community Choice Aggregator for San Leandro; and WHEREAS, an agreement with Ava Community Energy for installation of photovoltaic systems on City buildings and purchase of the power generated by these systems has been presented to the City Council; and WHEREAS, details of the agreement with Ava Community Energy have not yet been finalized; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the terms of the agreement; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement, including the finalization of negotiations, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That the City Manager may negotiate and approve final details of the said agreement, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney; and
That said agreement substantially in the form presented is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized.
