IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXX
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE UPDATES AND EDITS TO THE CITY COUNCIL MEMBER HANDBOOK WHEREAS, a City Council Member Handbook was created in 1998 to commit to writing the basic standards of Council operations, and to make such information readily available to all, not just through “past practice” or institutional memory; and
WHEREAS, the City Council Member Handbook was last updated in 2024 and needs updates to reflect institutional changes, and changes to policies and practice; and WHEREAS, the revised Council Member Handbook was reviewed by the City Council Rules Committee on December 18, 2024 and February 26, 2025, which recommends presentation to and approval by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends its approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE that the updates and edits to the City Council Member Handbook are approved.
