IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXX
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONSULTING
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MILLER PLANNING ASSOCIATES FOR A COMPREHENSIVE ZONING CODE UPDATE FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $157,000
WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro’s Zoning Code require a comprehensive update to update, clarify, and improve user experience; and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the 2024 Economic Development Strategy, which prioritizes regulatory streamlining and increased certainty to support business growth and investment; and WHEREAS, a modern, and user-friendly Zoning Code will assist the City, residents and businesses with clarity, transparency, and predictability; and WHEREAS, the current Zoning Code requires updates to better reflect the land use goals and policy directives of the San Leandro General Plan, including updated standards for housing, economic development, and community design; and
WHEREAS, the total cost for the professional services agreement shall not exceed $157,000; and WHEREAS, the Community Development Department has sufficient funding in its Fiscal Year 2024-2025 adopted budget to cover this contractual obligation; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That the Consulting Services Agreement is approved and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Miller Planning Associates for a Comprehensive Zoning Code update in an amount not to exceed $157,000.
