RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION TO
AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT AND EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THE ALTA D. DAVIS TRUST DONATION FOR $13,084.42 TO BE USED FOR LIBRARY CULTURAL PROGRAMMING
AND LIBRARY SPECIAL EVENTS
WHEREAS, the San Leandro Public Library creates and hosts library programming and special events that are diverse, celebratory, entertaining, and educational; and WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro City Council has adopted Quality of Life Priorities, including an initiative to Develop Programs Celebrating Community and the Diverse Cultures in San Leandro; and WHEREAS, the Alta D. Davis Trust has made a $13,084.42 donation to be spent on library cultural programming and library special events; and
WHEREAS, the donation will enhance the general funds available to the Library Department over multiple fiscal years to support a core service and help fulfill the Council Quality of Life Priorities to provide cultural programming and special events.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
1. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager to accept and to execute all documents and take all actions necessary related to the Alta D. Davis Trust Donation for $13,084.42 to enhance the San Leandro Public Library’s cultural programming and library special events.
2. That an appropriation of the Alta D. Davis Trust funding of $13,084.42 in revenue account #010-3803 and expenditure account #010-68-010 (DONATION-ALTA D. DAVIS TRUST) is approved.
