IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXX
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT AND EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THE FRIENDS OF THE SAN LEANDRO PUBLIC LIBRARY DONATION FOR $40,500 TO BE
USED TO PROVIDE AND ENHANCE THE SUMMER LIBRARY PROGRAM, PROGRAMS AT MANOR
BRANCH LIBRARY, AND SPANISH BOOK CLUB
WHEREAS, Friends of the San Leandro Public Library support activities and special programs at different Library locations; and
WHEREAS, in 1984, the Friends of the Library were established to support the San Leandro Public Library; and
WHEREAS, The Friends of the San Leandro Library is a non-profit organization comprised of community volunteers who help generate funds to support the San Leandro Library and its neighborhood library branches; and
WHEREAS, San Leandro Public Library was awarded $40,500 by Friends of the San Leandro Library to support the Summer Library Program, programming at the Manor Branch Library, and Spanish Book Club.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
1. That the City Council gratefully and humbly accepts the $40,500 donation from the Friends of the San Leandro Public Library Donation to provide and enhance the Summer Library Program, Programs at the Manor Branch Library, and Spanish Book Club and authorizes the City Manager to execute all documents and take all actions necessary related to the same.
2. That an appropriation of the Friends of the San Leandro Public Library funding of $40,500 in revenue account #010-3803 and expenditure account #010-68-005 is approved.
