IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXX
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A NONPROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH NEWTON CONSTRUCTION AND MANAGEMENT FOR
RENOVATION OF THE TONY LEMA GOLF COURSE TEE BOXES FOR A TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $319,375.00
WHEREAS, the tee boxes at the Tony Lema Golf Course are at the end of their useful life and require renovation; and
WHEREAS, the project was procured using a cooperative purchasing contract through Sourcewell using a project delivery method called Job Order Contracting (JOC); and
WHEREAS, Newton Construction and Management was a responsive bidder to Sourcewell Bid # CA-101723 and selected as the contractor for this project; and WHEREAS, City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement and finds its terms acceptable; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
1. That the agreement, substantially in the form presented, is approved and the City Manager is authorized to execute the agreement with Newton Construction and Management for the renovation of the Tony Lema Golf Course tee boxes for an amount not-to-exceed $319,375.00; and
2. That the City Manager is authorized to take all actions and execute all documents necessary to effect the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
