IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXX
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 4 WITH ALAMEDA COUNTY TO INCREASE HOMELESS HOUSING, ASSISTANCE, AND PREVENTION (HHAP) GRANT FUNDING BY $192,822 FOR A TOTAL NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $1,417,359 AND EXTEND THE TERM THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2026 WHEREAS, the Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Prevention (HHAP) grant program provides flexible block grant funds to Continuums of Care, large cities and counties to support regional coordination and expand or develop local capacity to end and prevent homelessness in local communities throughout California; and
WHEREAS, to date, the City of San Leandro has been allocated $1,417,359 in HHAP funds, passed through the County of Alameda; and
WHEREAS, an original agreement dated October 1, 2022, is by and between the County of Alameda and City of San Leandro; and
WHEREAS, an amendment to extend the term of the agreement has been presented to this City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the amendment; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE that said amendment to the agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized.
