IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A NONPROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MCGUIRE & HESTER FOR ON-CALL EMERGENCY
SEWER REPAIR SERVICES FOR A THREE-YEAR PERIOD FOR A NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $600,000, WITH A PROVISION FOR A TWO-YEAR RENEWAL
WHEREAS, the City owns and maintains approximately 125 miles of sanitary sewer mains, much of which were installed prior to the 1970s; and
WHEREAS, there is an increased risk of requiring immediate emergency repairs; and WHEREAS, the City initiated a Request for Proposals on September 30, 2025 from qualified contractors for on-call emergency sewer repair services; and WHEREAS, the City received three proposals and after careful evaluation McGuire & Hester was the only contractor selected to be included in an on-call services agreement with the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
1. That the Non-Professional Services Agreement is approved and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with McGuire & Hester for on-call emergency sewer repair services for a three-year period not to exceed amount of $600,000; and
2. That the City Manager or her designee are authorized to take all actions and execute all documents necessary to effect the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
