IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO PURCHASE A REPLACEMENT DM47E DIGGER DERRICK TRUCK FROM ALTEC, INC. FOR THE PUBLIC WORK DEPARTMENT FOR A TOTAL COST OF $392,975 AND TO AUTHORIZE AN INCREASE IN CONTRACT PRICE OF UP TO $47,000 TO ACCOUNT FOR ANY CHANGE IN PURCHASE PRICE DUE TO
MARKET VOLATILITY
WHEREAS, a quote for the purchase of a DM47E Digger Derrick Truck from Altec, Inc. has been presented to this City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends the purchase of said vehicle; and WHEREAS, authorizing change orders to address volatile market conditions helps ensure the purchase can proceed as planned in the event of fluctuations in vehicle pricing; and NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That the purchase of the vehicle listed on the quote from Altec, Inc. for the price listed is approved and purchase of the equipment by the City Manager is authorized; and That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to execute all documents to affect the intent and purpose of this resolution; and
That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to spend an additional $47,000 in case prices change due to market volatility.
