IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A NONPROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH UNIVAR SOLUTIONS USA LLC TO SUPPLY THE CITY’S WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PLANT WITH 164,000 GALLONS OF SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE 12.5% IN FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $630,000 WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro’s Water Pollution Control Plant uses sodium hypochlorite in the wastewater treatment process; and
WHEREAS, the City is part of the Bay Area Chemicals Consortium to competitively bid for the cost of chemicals; and
WHEREAS, Univar Solutions USA LLC had the lowest bid in the East Bay Region; and WHEREAS, staff recommend entering into a contract with Univar Solutions USA LLC to supply the City with up to 164,000 gallons of Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5% in FY 2027.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That said non-professional services agreement with Univar Solutions USA LLC for the supply of sodium hypochlorite in an amount not to exceed $630,000 in Fiscal Year 2027 is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized.
