IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION OF $250,000 IN THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE MONARCH BAY DRIVE BRIDGE ABUTMENT REPAIR, PROJECT NO. 2026.1020 WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro did on April 7, 2022, enter into a cooperative agreement with Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District to include work on the Monarch Bay Drive Bridge in the County’s project; and
WHEREAS, the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District did successfully bid said project; and
WHEREAS, said proposals were submitted to the City’s Public Works Director who has found the proposal hereinafter mentioned to be fair and reasonable; and WHEREAS, to complete necessary repairs in a timely manner and avoid delays associated with obtaining separate aquatic regulatory permits for the repairs, the City Council finds that providing the appropriation is in the best interest of public safety and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That the appropriation of $250,000 in the Capital Improvement Fund (Fund 210) for the project and purpose is approved; and
That the City Manager is authorized to take all actions and execute all documents necessary to effect the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
