RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF WORK WITH A NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $300,000 UNDER AN EXISTING MASTER
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH COGNIZANT TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS FOR POST GO-LIVE SUPPORT
AND DATA MIGRATION TO THE NEW ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING (ERP) SYSTEM WHEREAS, City and Consultant Cognizant Technology Solutions (Cognizant) have executed the Agreement, in accordance with Resolution No. 2024-101, pursuant to which Consultant has provided certain consulting services to City regarding Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation services; and
WHEREAS, the City and Cognizant implemented a new Workday ERP system on July 1, 2026 to replace the legacy Eden WRP system; and
WHEREAS, the City must now ensure a successful transition to the new Workday ERP by focusing on user and business process acceptance while also migrating legacy data into the new system; and WHEREAS, Cognizant’s Continuous Value Services (CVS) and other additional services will provide the City with access to advanced troubleshooting, reporting enhancements, and advisory support that internal resources may not be positioned to deliver at this critical juncture; and WHEREAS, by leveraging Cognizant’s expertise, the City can more effectively support staff as they adapt to revised workflows, reporting structures, and data management protocols, which is crucial given the scale of change management involved and the need to minimize disruptions to core financial and human resources operations; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE:
That said additional Statement of Work to the existing Master Services Agreement with Cognizant Technology Solutions for post go-live support of and data migration to the new ERP System in an amount not to exceed $300,000 is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized.
