IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS
RELATED TO THE DONATION OF FUNDS BY THE FRIENDS OF THE SAN LEANDRO PUBLIC LIBRARY
FOR ENHANCEMENTS TO LIBRARY PROGRAMS AT ALL BRANCHES, INCLUDING THE SUMMER LIBRARY PROGRAM, AND ACTION TO APPROPRIATE $50,000 IN DONATION FUNDS WHEREAS, in 1984, the Friends of the San Leandro Public Library was established to support the San Leandro Public Library; and
WHEREAS, the Friends of the San Leandro Library is a non-profit organization comprised of community volunteers who help generate funds to support the San Leandro Library and its neighborhood library branches; and
WHEREAS, the Friends of the San Leandro Public Library support activities and special programs at different Library locations; and
WHEREAS, the Friends of the San Leandro Public Library have donated $50,000 to enhance Library programs at all branches, including Summer Library Programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That the City Council gratefully accepts the donation, and the City Manager is authorized to execute all documents related to the Friends of the San Leandro Public Library donation for Library program enhancement at all branches, including Summer Library Program, totaling $50,000; and That an appropriation of the fund of $50,000 in revenue account #010-3803 and expenditure account #010-68-005 is approved.
