IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION TO IMPOSE LIENS FOR NON-PAYMENT OF DELINQUENT 2026 SOLID WASTE SERVICE
CHARGES, SIDEWALK/DRIVEWAY REPAIRS, CERTIFIED UNIFIED PROGRAM AGENCY (CUPA) FEES,
CODE COMPLIANCE AND ENFORCEMENT, FIRE INSPECTIONS, AND WPCP USER CHARGES PLUS
ADMINISTRATIVE PENALTIES AND CHARGES
WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro City Council reviewed the Reports of the Finance Director bearing List No. 2026-001 for solid waste fees and charges, List No. 2026-002 for sidewalk repairs, List No. 2025-003 for CUPA fees, List No. 2026-004 for code enforcement / compliance, List No. 2026-005 for Fire Inspections, and List No. 2026-006 WPCP user charges, copies of which are attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, all of said charges are currently unpaid and delinquent; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the San Leandro Municipal Code, notice was duly given of the time and place of hearing on said delinquent charges and upon any objections or protest by any of the property owners liable to be subject to a lien for non-payment of such delinquent charges; and WHEREAS, said public hearing was regularly set for approximately 7:00 p.m. on July 20, 2026; and WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro City Council has heard and passed on objections and protests of the property owners liable to be assessed for charges.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows:
That the City of San Leandro City Council confirms the Reports of the Finance Director concerning nonpayment of City service charges, bearing list numbers 2026-001, 2026-002, 2026-003, 2026-004,2026- 005, and 2026-006; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said assessments of delinquent charges of the City of San Leandro are hereby approved and confirmed and a lien is hereby imposed upon said real property in the amount set therein; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a notice of lien shall be delivered to the County Auditor, who shall enter the amount thereof on the County Assessment Book opposite the description of the particular property and the amount shall be collected together with all other taxes thereon against the property; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager or her designee is authorized to take all actions and execute all documents necessary to effect the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
