IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND APPROVE CUMULATIVE CHANGE ORDERS UP TO 45% OR $143,324 OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT OF
AN EXISTING AGREEMENT WITH T&S INTERMODAL MAINTENANCE FOR WALL REPAIR AT THE MARINA COMMUNITY CENTER FOR $318,498
WHEREAS, the City has an agreement for wall repair at the Marina Community Center with T&S Intermodal Maintenance; and
WHEREAS, Change Orders to modify bid quantities or to respond to unexpected conditions are a normal aspect of public contracting and construction, and WHEREAS, to deliver high quality public works projects on schedule and within budget, the Council finds that authorizing the approval of Change Orders is in the best interest of public health, safety, and welfare, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends execution of said change orders.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to negotiate and approve cumulative change orders up to a maximum of $143,324, which is 45% of the original contract amount.
