IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROPRIATION OF $50,000 FROM THE ASSET SEIZURE (FEDERAL)
FUND FOR AN OPERATIONAL AUDIT OF THE SAN LEANDRO POLICE DEPARTMENT'S PROPERTY AND
EVIDENCE ROOM AND FOR THE SECURE DESTRUCTION AND DISPOSAL OF NARCOTICS WHEREAS, the San Leandro Police Department has an operational need to conduct an independent audit of its Property and Evidence Room; and
WHEREAS, the department has an operational need to obtain secure destruction and disposal of narcotics services; and
WHEREAS, the Asset Seizure (Federal) Fund is a special revenue account to fund police-specific needs, like equipment, supplies, or services that comply with Department of Justice guidelines; and
WHEREAS, this appropriation of funds will provide for services necessary for law enforcement that are not currently budgeted in the General Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That an appropriation of $50,000 from the Asset Seizure (Federal) fund is authorized to fund the projects described herein; and
That the City Manager is authorized to take all actions and execute all documents necessary to effect the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
