Significant exposure to litigation pursuant to paragraph (2) of subsection (d) and paragraph (3) of subsection (e) of California Government Code Section 54956.9. No. of potential cases: One.

The facts and circumstances related to the exposure to litigation arise from allegations that the City wrongfully terminated an implied meter coin collection services contract pursuant to a 30- day termination for convenience contract term, or, alternatively, that the City misclassified the employee of the contracted meter collection services company as a service contractor, rather than an employee of the City.  The allegations are set forth in greater detail in correspondence from attorney Edwin Rambuski on behalf of his client Brett Cross, received September 25, 2025, which is available for review upon request to the City Clerk.
