RESOLUTION NO. 2022-8988
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AUTHORIZING AWARD OF A CONTRACT AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO FINALIZE AND EXECUTE A CONSULTANT SERVICES CONTRACT AND ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS WITH JPW COMMUNICATIONS FOR STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos (“City’) desires to hire a consultant to provide Strategic Communication Planning and Management Services; and, WHEREAS, in conformance with SMMC Chapter 2.30, the City advertised a request for proposals seeking qualified firms for communications consultant services, and received one (1) proposal; and, WHEREAS, City staff evaluated the submitted proposal and selected JPW Communications as the best qualified firm to provide the consulting services; and, WHEREAS, City staff recommended that the contract be awarded to JPW Communications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos does hereby authorize and delegate authority to the City Manager to negotiate, finalize and execute a Consultant Agreement with JPW Communications in the not to exceed annual amount of $300,000, for the Strategic Communications Planning and Management Services, in accordance with SMMC Chapter 2.30.
