RESOLUTION NO. 2022-XXXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS APPROVING CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID, AND DELEGATING TO AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD, FINALIZE AND EXECUTE THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR THE ANNUAL SURFACE SEAL FISCAL YEAR 2021 PROJECT (CIP #ST001) WHEREAS, construction documents for the Annual Surface Seal Fiscal Year 2021 Project (CIP #ST001, “Project”) have been substantially completed; and WHEREAS, the Project improvements will include pavement repair, construction of intersection signal improvements, new buffered bike lane striping, and surface seal on portions of Borden Road between Woodland Parkway and Woodward Street; and WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos desires to complete the construction of the Project in an expeditious manner; and WHEREAS, delegating and authorizing the City Manager to award the contract and execute the applicable contract documents will facilitate the expeditious and orderly construction of the Project; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby:
Approves the construction documents for bid for the Annual Surface Seal Fiscal Year 2021 Project (CIP #ST001); Authorizes the advertisement for bid for the Annual Surface Seal Fiscal Year 2021 Project (CIP #ST001); Delegates to and authorizes the City Manager to award, finalize, and execute the construction contract documents with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the Annual Slurry Seal Fiscal Year 2021 Project (CIP #ST001).
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, California, this 22nd day of March 2022, by the following vote:
