RESOLUTION NO. 2022-9010
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS ADOPTING THE CITY’S PY 202 2/2023 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN FOR PURPOSES OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING.
WH
EREAS, the City of San Marcos participates in the Department of Housin g and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, and WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds are to be used for the development of viable urban communities, by providing decent housing, suitable living environments, and expanded economic opportunities, primarily for low- and moderate-income persons, and WHEREAS, in order to receive CDBG funding, HUD requires the City to have an Annual Action Plan which details the needs of the community and the planned use of CDBG funding to address those needs; and WHEREAS, the Annual Action Plan must be approved by the City Council annually.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Marcos adopts the attached PY 2022/2023 Annual Action Plan for CDBG funding purposes, approves submitting the plan to HUD, and authorizes the City Manager to sign all appropriate certificates of said Plans and execute all documents related thereto.
