RESOLUTION NO. 2022-9012
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH CALIFORNIA FINE WINE AND SPIRITS, LLC FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 561 GRAND AVENUE WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos (“City”) is the owner of real property addressed as 561 Grand Ave, Assessor’s Parcel Number 220-170-39; and WHEREAS, the City proposes to enter into a ten-year lease agreement with California Fine Wine and Spirits, LLC for the retail display and sale of beer, wine, and spirits, and incidentally related items; and WHEREAS, the lease to California Fine Wine and Spirits, LLC for the property at 561 Grand Ave will contribute to the City’s goals of economic development and planning for the future; and WHEREAS, the lease agreement (Attachment A) defines the terms, conditions, and revenue the City will receive as Landlord; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, California, as follows:
Delegate authority to the City Manager to finalize and execute all agreements, amendments, and related documents between the City of San Marcos and California Fine Wine and Spirits, LLC; and Authorize the City Manager to make the appropriate adjustments to the Creekside Marketplace Enterprise Fund (Fund 601) Operating Budget as necessary.
