RESOLUTION NO. 2022-9042
A RESOLUTION OF TH E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, CALIFORNIA
DESIGNATING A VOTING DE LEGATE AND AN ALTERNAT E FOR THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES 2022 ANNUAL CONFERENCE.
WHEREAS, the League of California Cities Annual Conference is scheduled for September 7 -9, 2022 in Long Beach; and
WHEREAS, one important aspect of the Annual Conference is the general business session when the membership
takes action on various Conference resolutions; and
WHEREAS, the Annual Conference voting procedures established by the League of California Cities require that
each City designate a voting delegate to be present at the Annual Conference; and N
OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council o f the City of San Marcos does hereby designate Council Member Maria Nunez as the City’s primary voting delegate and City Manager Jack Griffin as the alternate during the Annual Business Meeting held as part of the League of California Cities Annual Conference; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in all o
f those resolutions where specific guidance and direction to the voting delegate was not provided, the City Council hereby authorizes the City’s representative to vote on beh
alf of the City and according to the re presentative’s conscience as it relates to those resolutions and any amendments that may be proposed at the Annual Conference.
