RESOLUTION NO. 2022-9068
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS DELEGATING TO AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE AND EXECUTE CONSULTANT CONTRACTS WITH VARIOUS FIRMS TO UPDATE THE ON-CALL PRE-QUALIFIED CONSULTANTS LIST FOR CEQA-RELATED SERVICES.
Whereas, the City of San Marcos (City) desires to update its list of pre-qualified firms to provide California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) related services for private developments, to assist City staff with peer review of CEQA documentation submitted with respect to private developments, and to assist with CEQA-related services relating to City-initiated projects; and WHEREAS, in conformance with San Marcos Municipal Code Chapter 2.30, the City advertised a Request for Proposals seeking qualified firms for on-call CEQA Services and received ten proposals; and, WHEREAS, City staff evaluated the submitted proposals and has identified for the City Council’s consideration the best qualified firms to provide consulting services and populate a list of pre-qualified consultants.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby resolve as follows:
The City Manager is hereby delegated and is authorized to negotiate, finalize, and execute Consultant Agreements with Ascent Environmental, Harris & Associates, Helix Environmental, Michael Baker International, Recon Environmental, and Rincon Consultants, Inc., in an estimated not to exceed amount of $300,000 per contract.
The City shall establish a list of pre-qualified consultants providing CEQA-related services.
