RESOLUTION NO. 2022-9073
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AUTHORIZING AWARD OF A CONTRACT AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE A CONSULTANT SERVICES CONTRACT AND RELATED DOCUMENTS WITH LAZ PARKING FOR PARKING ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT SERVICES WHEREAS, contracting with a single vendor for comprehensive Parking Administration and Enforcement Services will increase operational efficiencies and minimize risk to the City while ensuring a high level of customer service; and WHEREAS, City staff has determined that LAZ Parking is the most responsive and qualified contractor to provide such services; and WHEREAS, City staff recommends award of a Consultant Services contract with LAZ Parking for comprehensive Parking Administration and Enforcement Services, to begin September 2022; and WHEREAS, the City and LAZ Parking agreed to honor the terms of the Proposal for five years; and WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds available in the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 budget to perform these services in Annual City Clerk Other Contract Services Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby awards the consultant services contract to LAZ Parking for the provision of comprehensive Parking Administration and Enforcement Services over a period Resolution No. 2022- 9073Page 2
of five years, in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000, and further authorizes the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute the consultant services contract and related documents to effectuate said award.
