RESOLUTION NO. 2023-9109
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS APPROVING THE MID-YEAR ADJUSTMENTS TO AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR 2022-23 BUDGET WHEREAS, the City Manager has presented to the City Council, a proposed mid-year budget revision for the Fiscal Year 2022-23 Budgets for the City of San Marcos; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the proposed mid-year budget revisions, making modifications detailed in Exhibits A and B, and C, as attached; and, WHEREAS, the appropriations as amended will provide the level of services deemed appropriate by the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos under Fiscal Management Policy 2015-11 shall allocate all significant revenues resulting from one-time items, such as real estate transactions, legal or dispute settlements, unanticipated reimbursements or other unanticipated revenue receipts, to the Vehicle and Equipment Fund, Infrastructure Fund, and Facilities Fund as approved by City Council; and WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos has comprehensively identified Fiscal Year 2022-23 General Fund one-time revenues projected to total $1M; and WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos has directed staff to allocate the Fiscal Year 2022-23 General Fund one-time revenues totaling $1M to be appropriated to the Fiscal Year 2022-23 Infrastructure Funds (Funds 602, 603 & 604, Per Policy Statement Number 4 of the Fiscal Management Policy; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby:
Authorizes that the Fiscal Year 2022-23 approved Budget is amended as denoted in Exhibits A and B; Authorizes the City Manager to make the appropriate adjustments to each departmental budget as outlined herein and to cite this Resolution as authorization; and Approves the updated Fiscal Year 2022-23 Full Time salary schedule as denoted in Exhibit C.
