RESOLUTION NO. 2023-XXX – APPROVING A BUDGET TRANSFER OF $450,000 FROM THE OPERATING BUDGET TO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM BUDGET TO CREATE A MULTI-YEAR ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGER GRANT PROGRAM PROJECT (CIP #PL005).
WHEREAS, the City Council, approved the Fiscal Year 2022-23 Operating and Capital Improvement budgets for the City of San Marcos; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the proposed General Fund (Fund 100) transfer and finds the creation of a multi-year Capital Improvement Program Budget for the Electric Vehicle Charger Grant Program to be in the best interest of the City’s Climate Action Plan goals; and, WHEREAS, the appropriations, as amended, will provide the level of service deemed appropriate by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby:
Authorizes the transfer of Fiscal Year 2022-23 General Funds in an amount not to exceed $450,000 to Fiscal Year 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program Budget; Authorizes the City Manager to make the appropriate adjustments to each budget as outlined herein and to cite this Resolution as authorization; and Approves the updated Fiscal Year 2022-23 Capital Improvement Program Budget Electric Vehicle Charger Grant Program Project (CIP #PL005) as detailed in Attachment 1: CIP Budget Sheet.
