A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR PERMITTING AND LAND MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE AS-NEEDED, AND DELEGATING TO AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE THE SAME Whereas, the current permitting and land development software has become ineffectual to achieve the objectives of the City for permit processing based on new industry and City business practices; and Whereas, City staff has been exploring options to streamline the City’s workflow processes by upgrading to a new permitting and land management software; and WHEREAS, the final negotiated contract will be for on-call use and only used when sufficient funds are budgeted; and WHEREAS, City staff will review available software solutions to ensure it meets the needs and objectives of the City and establish a selected vendor subject to compliance with the Purchasing Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby delegates to and authorizes the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute the contract and related documents with the selected vendor upon the conclusion of evaluation to replace the existing land management software with a new solution pending availability of funds in a Not-to-Exceed amount of $1,000,000.; PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, California, this 13th day of June 2023, by the following vote:
