RESOLUTION NO. 2023-9145
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS DELEGATING TO AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR AS-NEEDED FURNITURE SERVICES Whereas, the City desires to procure furniture and related installation services from time-to-time on an as-needed basis as available budget funds exists; and Whereas, there is a current need for various element of workstations and furniture to be replaced; and Whereas, the City has evaluated a selected vendor through a cooperative purchasing agreement, as permitted by San Marcos Municipal Code § 2.30.110, et seq.; and WHEREAS, the City staff has evaluated available vendors and has selected BKM Officeworks.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos does hereby delegate to and authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize and execute an agreement with Steelcase/BKM Officeworks in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000, which will be expended on an as-needed basis as funds are available in the budget.
