RESOLUTION NO. 2023-XXXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS APPROVING CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS FOR THE BRADLEY PARK PUMP TRACK PROJECT (CIP #PK009) AND DELEGATING TO AND AUTHORIZING THE ACTING CITY MANAGER TO SELECT CONTRACTORS AND TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE CONTRACTS FOR CONSTRUCTION Whereas, construction documents for the Bradley Park Pump Track Project (CIP #PK009, "Project”), have been completed; and Whereas, zero (0) bids were received by the City of San Marcos (“City”) for the Bradley Park Pump Track Project (CIP#PK009); and Whereas, the Purchasing Ordinance allows the City to negotiate directly for Contracts when no bids are received for a public works project; and WHEREAS, the City desires to complete the construction of the Project in an expeditious manner, which will necessitate multiple contracts; and WHEREAS, delegating to and authorizing the Acting City Manager to select contractors and to negotiate, finalize, and execute all applicable contract documents will facilitate the expeditious and orderly construction of the Project; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos as follows:
The foregoing recitals are true and correct;
The construction documents for the Bradley Park Pump Track Project (CIP #PK009), consisting of plans, specifications, and project special provisions, have been reviewed are hereby approved.
The competitive bidding process has been satisfied and no bids were received.
The City Manager is hereby delegated and authorized to select contractors and to negotiate, finalize, and execute all contracts for the Bradley Park Pump Track Project (CIP #PK009).
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, California, this 12th day of September 2023, by the following vote:
