A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR SIDEWALK INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES TO PRECISION CONCRETE CUTTING, INC., AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE ACTING CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE THE CONTRACT AND ALL ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTS Whereas, the City of San Marcos (City) desires to contract with a qualified sidewalk inspection and maintenance contractor; and WHEREAS, in conformance with the City’s Purchasing Ordinance Section 2.30.110, Staff seeks to enter into a contract with Precision Concrete Cutting a sidewalk inspection and maintenance service provider utilizing the Master Services Agreement between Precision Concrete Cutting and the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority’s (CJPIA), available to the as a member of the CJPIA, pursuant to the cooperative agreement provisions of San Marcos Municipal Code section 2.30.110; and Whereas, staff recommends that the City Council approve the award of a multi-year contract for sidewalk inspection and maintenance services, in an amount not to exceed $1,250,000 for the term of the contract, and that it authorize the Acting City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute the contract and related documents with Precision Concrete Cutting; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the award of a multi-year sidewalk inspection and maintenance service agreement with Precision Concrete Cutting and does hereby delegate to and authorize the Acting City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute the contract and related documents.
