I have developed a deep passion for budgeting over the years, and it has become an integral part of my life. I thoroughly enjoy the process of organizing and managing finances, and my proficiency in this area has earned me the reputation of being the go-to person for budgeting among my friends. I take pride in the fact that I have successfully assisted all my friends in overcoming debt and achieving their financial goals.
My expertise in budgeting extends beyond my personal relationships. Currently, I hold the position of Operations Manager in a small company where I wear multiple hats. However, the most significant responsibility I bear is overseeing our financial operations. This involves a range of tasks, such as projecting expenses, managing sales figures, and developing budgets for each month, quarter, and year.
I take great satisfaction in the opportunity to utilize my budgeting skills professionally, as it allows me to apply my knowledge and experience to benefit the company's financial stability and growth. By carefully analyzing and monitoring our financial data, I ensure that our company remains on track to meet its goals and make informed decisions regarding our expenses and investments.
My passion for budgeting, coupled with my extensive experience in the field, has equipped me with the necessary skills to navigate complex financial landscapes. I derive immense fulfillment from helping others achieve financial success, and I continue to enhance my expertise in budgeting to ensure that I can provide valuable guidance to individuals and organizations alike.
I'd love to see strategies to increase the availability of affordable housing, even an ADU program like Encinitas and Poway.
I wish we had more sustainability here, encouragee sustainable building practices, green infrastructure, alternative transportation such as bike lanes or a bigger community garden.
Traffic management especially with the new restaurant row residential buildings coming. Improving bus routes and stops to the more commercial areas from neighborhoods. Would love a big event, I just went to the Vista Strawberry festival and it was packed. I love seeing smaller local businesses get more attention. And it helped all the stores on their main street.
I think having more senior services and programs to meet the needs of the baby boomers aging. Maybe some more social acitivies for them, health and wellness classes, and more transportation needs.
To help be apart of shaping the future of San Marcos. Being apart of the process to influence the citys growth and policies is so exciting!

Volunteer on many community and religious organizations, usually in leadership roles including Membership, Fundraising, and President.
Participated in recent joint strategic planning project between SMCF and the CSSMU Senior Experience team to identify means of increasing SMCF visibility and endowment growth.
In my current role on the SMCF I have seen the value we add and increase our visibility to the San Marcos community.
We have started the process of making donation easier but need to do better community outreach, using our Advisory Board as a real partner, to educate our residents about why donating to the Foundation is a smart financial decision We help organizations of all sizes who help our community and I get to meet the people who do amazing work. By doing so I get to be an advocate for those organizations as well. I also have the opportunity to meet other people in the philanthropic community and learn more about how to be a better donor.

I am an active member of many clubs that help me collaborate with fellow students, such as No Place For Hate club and K-pop Club. These help me understand the perspectives and opinions of the youth in our city because of how they want to see change in both our school and our community. I have also grown to understand what gets youth motivated to get involved and collaborate. I have also completed my CPR certification because I believe in helping others.
I would like to see our youth want to be more involved in our city and get to know our city more. As someone who is a part of this city, I wish I could have known more about our city and what it has to offer me.
Therefore, I hope to help others get involved and learn more about our city.
The most interesting aspect is getting to meet new people and getting to collaborate with others. I also love the aspect of wanting to get our youth involved and being able to gen involved within my city. I have always been passionate about meeting new people and helping my community, so I see this as an amazing opportunity for myself to get involved.

City of Vista 11/2021 8/2022 City Clerk Office
San Diego State University 1/2020 5/2021 Master of Public Administration I have attended two Planning Commissioner Academies in the last two years. I also participate with the League of California Cities in roundtables and new bill discussions involving safety, housing, permits, and employment. In my Risk Management career, I handle claim discovery and litigation working closely with planning and engineering to resolve decisions concerning safety, health, liability, insurance, and disability management. I also conduct Emergency Preparedness and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements city wide for Encinitas.
As a current Commissioner, I see a significant difference in new development applicants who choose to pay the affordable housing in lieu fee, instead of choosing to include affordable housing in projects. I'd like to be part of the implementation of applicant incentives to include affordable housing instead of paying a negotiated fee. This will target and achieve our city housing goals and will positively impact our residents.
