RESOLUTION NO. 2024_____
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, CALIFORNIA AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR PARK LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS TO TECHSICO, INC., AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO FINALIZE AND EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT AND ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTS.
Whereas, the City of San Marcos (City) desires to contract with a qualified electrical contractor for a park lighting repair, replacement, and improvement project (Project); and WHEREAS, pursuant to San Marcos Municipal Code Section 2.30.100, the City publicly advertised a request for bids for the project, and received eight bids for the same; and WHEREAS, all bids received were determined by City to be responsive, and the bid submitted by Techsico, Inc., a licensed electrical contractor, was determined to be the lowest responsive bid; and Whereas, staff recommends that the City Council approve the award of a contract for the Project to Techsico, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $261,155, and that it authorize the City Manager to finalize and execute the contract and all associated documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that City Council of the City of San Marcos approves the award of a contract for the Project to Techsico, Inc. and does hereby delegate to and authorize the City Manager to finalize and execute the contract and all associated documents relating thereto.
