RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XXXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR EVENT TICKETS PURSUANT TO THE COMPENSATION AND REIMBURSEMENT POLICY WHEREAS, the Compensation and Reimbursement Policy (“Policy”) of the City of San Marcos (“City”) allows the City Council (“Council”) to approve payment for or reimbursement of expenses of officials for the performance of official duties; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the events listed below for compliance with the regulations and the Policy, and hereby finds that said events are in compliance therewith.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos finds that attendance of Mayor Jones and Councilmember Musgrove at the CSUSM Blue & Silver Fundraising Dinner, the attendance of Mayor Jones and Councilmember Musgrove at the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce Greater San Diego Leadership Awards & Gala Night, and the attendance of Councilmember Nuñez at the TrueCare Illumination Gala, are each within the requirements of the policy and regulations, and are hereby approved for payment by the City, inasmuch as the events will support and enhance partnerships with 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) entities, businesses and educational institutions in San Diego County, and involve significant benefit and public purpose.
