A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR PARKS MAINTENANCE SERVICES TO EXECUTIVE LANDSCAPE, INC. AND PWLC1, INC., RESPECTIVELY, AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE SAID CONTRACTS Whereas, the City desires to contract with a qualified parks maintenance contractor; and WHEREAS, City staff conducted a Request for Proposals process March through April of 2024, in accordance with San Marcos Municipal Code section 2.30.100; and WHEREAS, the City received proposals from five vendors, which were evaluated on the basis of criteria outlined in the Request for Proposals, and selected Executive Landscape and PWLC1, as the best qualified and highest-ranked, responsive bidders; and Whereas, in conformance with the City’s Purchasing Ordinance Section 2.30.100, Staff recommends that the City Council approve the award of a multi-year contract for parks maintenance services to PWLC1, Inc. for Landscape Maintenance Areas 1 & 2 in an amount not to exceed $2,630,629 annually, and that it award a multi-year contract for parks maintenance services to Executive Landscape, Inc. for Landscape Maintenance Areas 3 & 4 in an amount not to exceed $2,268,418 annually, and that it authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute said contracts and related documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that City Council of the City of San Marcos does hereby approve the award of multi-year parks maintenance service agreements to Executive Landscape, Inc. and PWLC1, Inc., respectively, and the City Council hereby delegates to and authorizes the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute said contracts and related documents.
