A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS APPROVING AMENDMENT OF THE LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE AREA 1 CONTRACT WITH EXECUTIVE LANDSCAPE, INC. AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE RELATED DOCUMENTATION (#6153) Whereas, the City’s contract with Executive Landscape, Inc. for Landscape Maintenance Area 1 (#6153) was approved in June 2019, in the amount of $2,676,100, and there have been six subsequent change orders; and WHEREAS, San Marcos Municipal Code Section 2.30.030(c)(2) requires City Council approval when change orders exceed ten (10%) percent of the initial value of the Executive Landscape, Inc. contract; and Whereas, the City currently anticipates that the cost of landscape services through the end of the current Fiscal Year will exceed the remaining available threshold amount, and that the cost of such services would represent a new, not-to-exceed total of $3,038.544.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos does hereby approve amendment of the Executive Landscape, Inc., contract #6153 up to a not-to-exceed amount of $3,038,544, and authorizes the City Manager to execute applicable documentation.
