RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XXXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE CONTINUATION OF PARTICIPATION IN THE CALIFORNIA IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM/REMOTE ACCESS NETWORK (CAL-ID/RAN), AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR SAID EXTENSION, AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE CURRENT AND FUTURE EXPENDITURES OF FUNDS FOR CAL-ID/RAN AND TO EXTEND CITY PARTICIPATION IN CAL-ID/RAN WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos ("City") has been a participant in the California Identification System/Remote Access Network (CAL-ID/RAN); and WHEREAS, the City desires to continue its participation in CAL-ID/RAN to enhance law enforcement capabilities in continued alignment with the City’s goals for improved public safety and good governance; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos approves the continuation of participation in the California Identification System/Remote Access Network (CAL-ID/RAN), and delegates to and grants to the City Manager the authority to approve current and future expenditure of funds for and to enter into future extensions of CAL-ID/RAN.
