RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XXXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR EVENT TICKETS PURSUANT TO THE COMPENSATION AND REIMBURSEMENT POLICY WHEREAS, the Compensation and Reimbursement Policy (“Policy”) of the City of San Marcos (“City”) allows the City Council to approve payment for or reimbursement of expenses of officials for the performance of official duties; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the events listed below for compliance with the regulations and the Policy, and hereby finds that said events are in compliance therewith.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos that attendance of Councilmember Musgrove and Councilmember Nuñez to the 2024 League of California Cities Conference, and each of them, is within the requirements of the policy and regulations, and costs associated with such attendance are hereby approved for payment by the City, inasmuch as attendance is deemed to support good governance by fostering and enhancing partnerships with service-providing organizations, offering access to key presentations and speakers relevant to local leadership, facilitating peer-to-peer knowledge sharing among California city officials, and engaging participants in discussions on crucial policy issues to uphold local control.
