CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Jones called the City Council Meeting to order at 10:01 AM.

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
No public comments.
CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP
HONGDAO NGUYEN, BEST BEST & KRIEGER, provided a presentation on permitted election-related activities for city employees and officials in elections with ballot measures.
CITY COUNCIL DISCUSSION INCLUDED: effective date of ballot measure, clarification of social media outreach regarding the measure on private pages being a permitted action, events held on City’s leased property being a permitted action, designation of ballot argument to councilmembers or outside group, legal counsel review for informational handouts, clarification of uses of City resources for local measures, and advocating a position at events where an individual is representing the City being a prohibited action.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Jones adjourned the meeting at 10:47 AM.
