RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XXXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS APPROVING CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR THE RETROREFLECTIVE BACKPLATE PROJECT (CIP# TR008) Whereas, construction documents for the Retroreflective Backplate Project (CIP# TR008, hereinafter “Project”) have been substantially completed; and WHEREAS, the Project is exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) pursuant to Section 15301 Class 1 (c) of the CEQA Guidelines, as it involves minor improvements and maintenance to existing facilities without increasing the capacity of the same; and Whereas, the City desires to construct the Citywide improvements; and WHEREAS, the City desires to complete the construction of the Project in an expeditious manner; and WHEREAS delegating to and authorizing the City Manager to award the contract and to finalize and execute the applicable contract documents will facilitate the expeditious and orderly construction of the project; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos as follows:
The foregoing recitals are true and correct;
The Project is exempt from CEQA review pursuant to Guidelines section 15301; The construction documents for bids for the Retroreflective Backplate Project (CIP# TR008) are approved; The City Engineer is authorized to finalize the construction documents; and The City Manager is delegated the authority to award and to finalize and execute the contract with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the Project (CIP# TR008).
