RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XXXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS DELEGATING TO AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR ON-PREMISES SERVER HARDWARE AND RELATED SERVICES TO SIDEPATH AND DELL TECHNOLOGIES, AND TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE DOCUMENTS RELATING TO SUCH CONTRACT Whereas, the City’s current data storage server hardware is at the end of its useful life; and Whereas, City staff has evaluated providers for the hardware and support services required for the project via the City’s cooperative purchasing system and have received a quote for Dell APEX services, as provided by Sidepath, Inc.
WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the proposal provided by Sidepath, Inc. and has determined the proposal to meet the needs of the City’s storage hardware project based on the services to be performed and compatibility with current City systems ; and Whereas, The Fiscal Year 2024-25 Adopted Annual Operations and Capital Improvement Program Budget includes the server hardware project in the General Fund (100) budget; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby delegates to and authorizes the City Manager to award a contract to Sidepath, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $550,000 for the City Server Hardware project, and to negotiate, finalize, and execute any and all documents relating to such contract.
