RESOLUTION NO. 2024-9365
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING A CONSULTANT AGREEMENT TO GAFCON INC. FOR LABOR COMPLIANCE AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE MONITORING AND COMPLIANCE OVERSIGHT (CITYWIDE), AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS WHEREAS, the City currently has a labor compliance consultant contract that is nearing expiration; and, WHEREAS, the City desires to hire a consultant for Labor Compliance and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Monitoring and Compliance Oversight; and, WHEREAS, in conformance with San Marcos Municipal Code Chapter 2.30, the City advertised a request for proposals seeking qualified firms for Labor Compliance and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Monitoring and Compliance Oversight and received four proposals; and, WHEREAS, City staff evaluated the submitted proposals and Gafcon Inc. was selected as the best qualified firm to provide the consulting services; and WHEREAS, City staff recommends contract award to Gafcon Inc. with an amount of not to exceed $1,000,000; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos does hereby approve the award of a consultant agreement to Garcon Inc. for Labor Compliance and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Monitoring and Compliance Oversight in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000.00 and authorizes the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute applicable contract documents.
