RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XXXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS APPROVING CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID, AND DELEGATING TO AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AND ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS FOR THE SYCAMORE DRIVE STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT (CIP #ST013) Whereas, construction documents for the Sycamore Drive Street Improvements Project (CIP #ST013, “Project”) have been substantially completed; and Whereas, the Project improvements will include pavement rehabilitation along Sycamore Drive between Deer Springs Rd. and Mulberry Dr., construction of new paved parking area adjacent to Walnut Grove Park, and vegetated swale and tree wells; and WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos desires to complete the construction of the Project in an expeditious manner; and WHEREAS, delegating and authorizing the City Manager to award the contract and execute the applicable contract and all related documents will facilitate the expeditious and orderly construction of the Project; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby:
Approves for bid the construction documents for the Sycamore Drive Street Improvements Project (CIP #ST013); and Authorizes the advertisement for bid for the Sycamore Drive Street Improvements Project (CIP #ST013); and Delegates to and authorizes the City Manager to award, finalize, and execute the construction contract and all related documents with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the 2024 Surface Seal Project (CIP #ST013).
