A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CITYWIDE PLAYGROUND ENGINEERED WOOD FIBER DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION SERVICES AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE THE CONTRACT WITH TURBOSCAPE, INC.
Whereas, the City desires to contract with a qualified engineered wood fiber installation vendor; and WHEREAS, on February 14, 2025, RFP 25-04 was posted to PlanetBids; and WHEREAS, on March 5, 202,5 one bid was received and was found to be non-responsive; and WHEREAS, in accordance with SMMC §2.30.050(c)(3) staff obtained informal bids due to the unsuccessful formal bidding; and Whereas, staff recommends that City Council approve the award of a multi-year contract for citywide playground engineered wood fiber delivery and installation to Turboscape, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $500,000 and authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize and execute the contract and related documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that City Council of the City of San Marcos does hereby approve the award of a multi-year engineered wood fiber delivery and installation service agreement with Turboscape, Inc., and does hereby delegate to and authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute the contracts and related documents.
